Health Canada is starting to look at ways to modify the Health Canada guidelines as obesity rises in Canada. We can all make better choices to live healthier lives by consuming healthier foods. Here are a few ways to improve your health:
1- Replace packaged snacks with fruits/vegetables/nuts.
2- Get rid of processed foods or limit it as much as you can.
3- Cut down on fast foods, and try to make fresh meals at home.
4- Exercise, exercise, exercise! This doesn't have to be gym time. Schedule a family walk 2-3 times a week.
5- Cut down on Sugar/Starch intake.
